Prehistory is divided into 2 eras: Paleolithic and Neolithic.

During the Paleolithic period, men were hunters-gatherers and nomads. They already knew how to make stone tools and, in the Upper Paleolithic, developed diverse techniques such as painting, carving, and modeling.

During the Neolithic, starting around 10,000 years ago, sedentary life is attested. Men started to farm and make pottery.
